Texas Statistical Plan for Residential Risks

Who Files

All companies writing direct residential property insurance, including dwellings, homeowners, and tenants policies and policies providing fire, extended coverage, and other allied lines on dwellings, buildings, and contents must submit statistical data.

Due Date

The following reports must be filed to TICO no later than 45 days after the close of the experience month:

  • Monthly Report of Residential Risk Premiums Including Dwellings, Homeowners, and Tenants
  • Monthly Report of Paid and Outstanding Losses for Residential Risks, Including Dwellings, Homeowners, and Tenants
  • Monthly Report of Notices for Cancellation, Nonrenewal, and Declination - first report (for April 2026 experience) due June 15, 2026
  • Monthly Report of Actual Cancellations, Nonrenewals, and Declinations - first report (for April 2026 experience) due June 15, 2026

Purpose

Data is used to determine reasonable and appropriate rates and to monitor the use of policies in the market place.
