Who Files
The following statistical reports must be filed by all companies writing private passenger auto:
- Quarterly Market Report
- Quarterly Report of Cancellation, Nonrenewal, and Declination Notices
- Quarterly Report of Number of Actual Cancellations, Nonrenewals, and Declinations
- Annual Aggregate Reports
- Annual Reconciliation Reports
The following statistical report must be filed by companies in the top reporting groups:
- Quarterly Detailed Experience Report
Due Date
Annual Filing
The following reports must be filed to TICO no later than May 15 for the previous calendar year:
- Annual Aggregate Reports
- Annual Reconciliation Reports
Quarterly Filing
The following reports must be filed to TICO no later than 45 days after the close of the experience quarter:
- Quarterly Market Report
- Quarterly Detailed Experience Report (top reporting groups only)
- Quarterly Report of Cancellation, Nonrenewal, and Declination Notices - first report (for 2026 Q2 experience) due August 15, 2026
- Quarterly Report of Number of Actual Cancellations, Nonrenewals, and Declinations - first report (for 2026 Q2 experience) due August 15, 2026
Purpose
Data is used to determine reasonable and appropriate rates, to monitor the use of policies in the market place, and to perform TAIPA quota calculations.

Statistical Plan
The Texas Private Passenger Auto Statistical Plan is available from Texas Insurance Checking Office (TICO) upon request or may be downloaded from TDI’s website:
- plan effective beginning April 1, 2026
- plan effective through March 31, 2026
