After delivering a TDI-certified course, providers must report the course completions to TDI through their Sircon account. The fee for reporting continuing education (CE) completions is $1.30 per credit hour, per student. The fee for reporting pre-licensing education (PE) completions is $5.00 per student.
Providers also have a 30-day limit to issue Certificates of Completion to students who successfully complete the course. They may either generate these certificates through their Sircon account when reporting hours to TDI or create their own certificates, provided they meet the requirements outlined below.
How do we report course completions to TDI?
For steps to take to submit course completions, go to Sircon - Provider - Submitting Course Completions.
- From the Online Services Menu, click Education.
- Click the Continuing Education Course Completion link.
- Select Texas.
- Select the provider’s name from the drop-down menu and click Submit.
- Select the course for the roster being processed by clicking on the related course ID number.
- Choose the Submission Method (SSN, License Number, or NPN) of the information that will be supplied to submit the roster.
- Enter the Course Completion Date and the information relating to the Submission Method chosen (SSN, License Number, or NPN).
- Click the Submit button (only once).
What are the requirements for a certificate of completion?
- A statement that the course is for continuing education credit, adjuster pre-licensing training, long-term care partnership certification, Medicare-related product certification, small employer health benefit plan specialty certification, or annuity certification.
- Provider’s name (exactly as listed in TDI records).
- Provider ID.
- Student’s name (exactly as listed in TDI records).
- Students TDI license number.
- Course name (exactly as listed in TDI records).
- Course ID.
- Total number of credit hours, including ethics credit (Example: 7 general and 3 ethics for a total of 10 credit hours).
- Date of course completion.
- For certification courses, the type of certification (long-term care partnership certification, Medicare-related product certification, small employer health benefit plan specialty certification, or annuity certification).
