Background information
As specified as 28 TAC, Chapter 3, Subchapter R, Section 3.1760(a), all life settlement providers are required to submit data to TDI concerning annual life settlement reports.
Per this rule, this report must be submitted on or after January 1 and before March 1 of each year, for the previous calendar year. Each life settlement provider must submit a report with the information required within 60 days from the effective date of this rule for data regarding life settlement contracts entered during the period of January 1 to December 31, in Texas, for which the insured is a resident of Texas. A life settlement provider that has already provided complete information required in this section by the effective date of this section meets the requirements of this subsection.
