To:   INDIVIDUALS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT FINGERPRINTS TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE IN CONNECTION WITH LICENSING OR SUBMISSION OF BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Re:   Change in Procedures and Cost for Fingerprint Services


The purpose of this bulletin is to inform individuals required to submit fingerprints to the Texas Department of Insurance in connection with licensing or submission of biographical information that the cost and locations for obtaining fingerprint services will change effective December 1, 2015.  This bulletin does not apply to applications and information submitted to the State Fire Marshal’s Office. 

Fingerprint services will no longer be available at TDI testing centers.  In addition, beginning December 1, 2015, the cost of fingerprint services will increase by $3.25 from $39.75 to $43.00.  Complete fingerprint instructions for submitting fingerprints after December 1, 2015, and MorphoTrust USA contact information are available on TDI’s website at: www.tdi.texas.gov/licensing/agent/documents/fpinstructions.pdf.

These actions were initiated by the Texas Department of Public Safety and its vendor, MorphoTrust USA.
