TO: ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES, CORPORATIONS, EXCHANGES, MUTUALS, RECIPROCALS, ASSOCIATIONS, LLOYDS, OR OTHER INSURERS LICENSED TO WRITE LIABILITY; AND EACH POOL, JOINT UNDERWRITING ASSOCIATION, OR SELF-INSURANCE MECHANISM, OR TRUST AUTHORIZED BY LAW TO INSURE ITS PARTICIPANTS, SUBSCRIBERS, OR MEMBERS AGAINST LIABILITY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS

RE: 2012 ANNUAL AGGREGATE CLOSED CLAIM REPORT; 2012 CLOSED CLAIM RECONCILIATION FORM

The Texas Department of Insurance issues the attached mandatory data calls under Texas Insurance Code, Sections 38.153 - 38.161, which require insurers to file certain closed claim reports and an aggregate report with TDI.

Please complete and return the Acknowledgment of Receipt no later than

July 25, 2013.

Please complete and return the 2012 Closed Claim Reconciliation Form, the 2012 Annual Aggregate Report, and all late and revised closed claim reports no later than August 28, 2013.

If you do not respond to these calls within the time specified, you will be in violation of the Texas Insurance Code and you will be subject to the applicable penalties.

The Closed Claim Report of Accepted Transactions, Closed Claim Report of Unaccepted Transactions, Closed Claim Report of Unusual Circumstances, and Closed Claim Corrections/Suspect Errors Report are included with this bulletin. For confidentiality reasons, TDI does not post these reports on its website.
