To:   ALL LIFE, ACCIDENT AND HEALTH INSURERS DOING BUSINESS IN TEXAS THAT ARE SUBSCRIBING MEMBERS OF THE MIB GROUP, INC.

Re:   Commissioner's Order No. 09-0335 Granting a Limited Waiver of the Filing Requirements of the Texas Insurance Code §1701.051 for a Previously Approved or Exempted Form in Which the Only Alteration is an Address Change for the MIB, Inc.; the Addition of the MIB, Inc. Internet Address; or the Revision of the Name of the Medical Information Bureau to the MIB, Inc.


The Commissioner of Insurance has issued Commissioner's Order No. 09-0335. The order was issued to address insurer questions regarding the necessity of re-filing previously approved or exempted forms that are amended to make only the changes specified in the June 23, 2008 memorandum from the MIB Group to its subscribing members. The June 23, 2008 memo from the MIB Group, Inc. instructs subscribing members to update their applications and forms to reflect MIB's new address, the company's current name, and the company's website address. Commissioner's Order No. 09-0335 grants a limited waiver of the filing requirements of §1701.051 for previously approved forms that are changed only by the amendments specified in the order. This limited waiver will expire in five years from the date of the Order.
