In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on November 19, 2004 through November 24, 2004, in the counties of Andrews, Angelina, Archer, Atascosa, Austin, Bastrop, Bell, Bexar, Bosque, Brazoria, Brazos, Brown, Burleson, Burnet, Calhoun, Coleman, Comal, Comanche, Concho, Coryell, Dallas, De Witt, Delta, Denton, Duval, Eastland, El Paso, Falls, Fayette, Fort Bend, Freestone, Frio, Gaines, Galveston, Grimes, Guadalupe, Hamilton, Hardin, Harris, Hays, Henderson, Houston, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Karnes, Lavaca, Leon, Liberty, Llano, Madison, Matagorda, Maverick, McLennan, Milam, Montgomery, Navarro, Newton, Orange, Polk, Red River, Refugio, Robertson, San Augustine, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Schleicher, Smith, Tarrant, Tom Green, Travis, Trinity, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Waller, Washington, Wharton, Williamson, Wood and Zavala Counties are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
