In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on May 29, 2004 through June 3, 2004, in the counties of Anderson, Angelina, Archer, Bell, Bexar, Bosque, Bowie, Brazos, Briscoe, Brown, Burleson, Camp, Cass, Castro, Cherokee, Childress, Clay, Coleman, Collin, Collingsworth, Comal, Comanche, Cooke, Coryell, Crosby, Dallam, Dallas, Deaf Smith, Denton, Dickens, Eastland, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Fannin, Floyd, Franklin, Freestone, Grayson, Gregg, Hall, Hamilton, Hansford, Hardin, Harris, Harrison, Hartley, Haskell, Hays, Henderson, Hidalgo, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Houston, Hunt, Jack, Jasper, Jeff Davis, Jefferson, Jim Hogg, Johnson, Kaufman, Lamar, Lampasas, Leon, Limestone, Llano, Madison, Marion, McLennan, Mills, Montgomery, Moore, Morris, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Newton, Oldham, Orange, Palo Pinto, Panola, Parker, Polk, Potter, Presidio, Rains, Randall, Red River, Roberts, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, San Saba, Shackelford, Shelby, Sherman, Smith, Somervell, Stephens, Swisher, Tarrant, Throckmorton, Titus, Travis, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Van Zandt, Walker, Wheeler, Wichita, Wilbarger, Willacy, Williamson, Wise, Wood, Young and Zapata Counties are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
