In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on May 11, 2004 through May 14, 2004, in the counties of Aransas, Archer, Baylor, Bee, Bell, Bexar, Blanco, Brazos, Burleson, Caldwell, Calhoun, Castro, Clay, Dallas, Dimmit, Eastland, Ellis, Falls, Gillespie, Glasscock, Gonzales, Grimes, Hardeman, Harris, Hartley, Haskell, Jack, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jim Hogg, Jones, Karnes, Kimble, King, Kleberg, Knox, La Salle, Lavaca, Leon, Live Oak, Madison, Mason, Matagorda, McCulloch, Menard, Milam, Mitchell, Montgomery, Moore, Nueces, Oldham, Orange, Parker, Polk, Refugio, Robertson, Runnels, Rusk, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Schleicher, Scurry, Starr, Stephens, Stonewall, Tarrant, Taylor, Terrell, Throckmorton, Val Verde, Victoria, Wharton, Wichita, Wilbarger, Williamson, Wilson, Young and Zapata Counties are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
