Re:   Regarding Weather Related Events Occurring on April 10 through 12, 2004


In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on April 10, 2004 through April 12, 2004, in the counties of Atascosa, Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Bexar, Burleson, Caldwell, Calhoun, Cass, Chambers, Colorado, Comal, Denton, Edwards, El Paso, Fayette, Fort Bend, Grimes, Guadalupe, Harris, Hidalgo, Houston, Jackson, Jim Hogg, Kimble, Lavaca, Liberty, Milam, Montgomery, Polk, Real, Robertson, San Saba, Travis, Tyler, Uvalde, Val Verde, Webb, Wharton and Williamson Counties are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.

Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
