In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on March 4, 2004 through March 5, 2004, in the counties of Archer, Baylor, Bell, Bexar, Bosque, Bowie, Brown, Callahan, Cass, Cherokee, Clay, Coke, Coleman, Collin, Concho, Cooke, Crockett, Crosby, Dallas, Dawson, Delta, Denton, Eastland, Ector, Ellis, Erath, Fannin, Fisher, Franklin, Freestone, Glasscock, Hamilton, Harris, Harrison, Haskell, Hill, Hopkins, Hood, Howard, Hunt, Jack, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Kaufman, Kimble, Lamar, Martin, Mason, McCulloch, McLennan, Medina, Menard, Midland, Mills, Mitchell, Montague, Morris, Navarro, Nolan, Palo Pinto, Panola, Parker, Rains, Reagan, Red River, Runnels, Rusk, San Saba, Schleicher, Scurry, Shackelford, Smith, Stephens, Sterling, Sutton, Tarrant, Taylor, Throckmorton, Tom Green, Upshur, Upton, Van Zandt, Wichita, Wilbarger, Wise, Wood, and Young Counties are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
