Effective August 17, 2002, the Commissioner of Insurance by Commissioner's Order No. 02-0741 approved six new residential property policy forms as follows: form no. HO 00 02 (Homeowners 2-Broad Form), form no. HO 00 03 (Homeowners 3-Special Form), form no. HO 00 04 (Homeowners 4-Contents Broad Form), form no. HO 00 05 (Homeowners 5-Comprehensive Form), form no. HO 00 06 (Homeowners 6-Unit-Owners Form), and form no. HO 00 08 (Homeowners 8-Modified Coverage Form), filed by Insurance Services Office (ISO) and further has approved ninety-three new endorsements that may be attached to the new residential property policy forms for use in the State of Texas.
Other Insurers Who Elect to Use the ISO Residential Property Policy Forms and Endorsements. Pursuant to Article 5.35, an insurer that wishes to use the approved policy forms and endorsements must make a filing for approval with the Texas Department of Insurance and agree to abide by the conditions and requirements imposed by Order No. 02-0741 relating to rating information, water damage coverage, foundation coverage, and mold coverage.
