In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on April 6, 2002 through April 8, 2002, in the counties of Anderson, Angelina, Archer, Atascosa, Austin, Bandera, Bell, Bexar, Blanco, Bosque, Bowie, Brazoria, Brown, Caldwell, Callahan, Camp, Cass, Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Coleman, Collin, Colorado, Comal, Comanche, Cooke, Coryell, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Eastland, Edwards, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Fannin, Fayette, Fort Bend, Franklin, Freestone, Frio, Galveston, Grayson, Gregg, Guadalupe, Hamilton, Harris, Harrison, Hays, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Houston, Hunt, Hutchinson, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Kaufman, Kendall, Kerr, Kinney, Lamar, Lampasas, Leon, Liberty, Limestone, Marion, Matagorda, Maverick, McCulloch, McLennan, Medina, Mills, Montague, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Palo Pinto, Panola, Parker, Polk, Rains, Real, Red River, Rockwall, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Saba, Shackelford, Shelby, Smith, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Taylor, Throckmorton, Titus, Tom Green, Travis, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Uvalde, Val Verde, Van Zandt, Victoria, Waller, Washington, Wharton, Wichita, Wilson, Wise, Wood, Young, and Zavala, are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
