Re:   Regarding Weather-Related Events Occurring on 3/29-31/02 Determined a Catastrophe for Claims Processing


In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on March 29, 2002 through March 31, 2002, in the counties of Anderson, Angelina, Austin, Bell, Bexar, Bosque, Bowie, Brazoria, Brown, Callahan, Camp, Cass, Chambers, Cherokee, Coleman, Collin, Colorado, Comanche, Cooke, Coryell, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Eastland, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Fannin, Fort Bend, Franklin, Freestone, Gaines, Galveston, Grayson, Gregg, Hamilton, Harris, Harrison, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Houston, Hunt, Jackson, Jasper, Johnson, Jones, Kaufman, Lamar, Lampasas, Leon, Limestone, Marion, McCulloch, McLennan, Mills, Montague, Morris, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Newton, Nueces, Palo Pinto, Panola, Parker, Polk, Rains, Red River, Rockwall, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Saba, Shackelford, Shelby, Smith, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Taylor, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Van Zandt, Waller, Wharton, Wise, and Wood, are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
