In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on March 19, 2002 through March 20, 2002, in the counties of Anderson, Angelina, Archer, Atascosa, Bandera, Bastrop, Bell, Bexar, Bosque, Bowie, Brazos, Brown, Burleson, Caldwell, Callahan, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Clay, Coleman, Collin, Comal, Commanche, Cooke, Coryell, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Eastland, Edwards, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Fannin, Franklin, Freestone, Frio, Grayson, Gregg, Guadalupe, Hamilton, Harris, Harrison, Hays, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Houston, Hunt, Jack, Jasper, Johnson, Jones, Kaufman, Kendall, Kimble, Kinney, Lamar, Lampasas, Lee, Leon, Limestone, Lubbock, Marion, Maverick, McCulloch, McLennan, Medina, Menard, Midland, Mills, Montague, Morris, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Newton, Palo Pinto, Panola, Parker, Polk, Rains, Red River, Rockwall, Runnels, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Saba, Scheilcher, Shackelford, Shelby, Smith, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Taylor, Titus, Tom Greene, Travis, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Uvalde, Val Verde, Van Zandt, Wichita, Williamson, Wilson, Wise, and Wood, are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
