Re:   Regarding Weather-Related Events Occurring on 6/05/01-6/11/01


In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on June 5, 2001 through June 11, 2001, in the counties of Anderson, Angelina, Aransas, Austin, Bell, Bexar, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Calhoun, Cameron, Chambers, Cherokee, Collin, Colorado, Dallas, Denton, El Paso, Ellis, Falls, Fayette, Fort Bend, Freestone, Galveston, Gregg, Gregg, Grimes, Guadalupe, Hardin, Harris, Harrison, Hays, Henderson, Hidalgo, Hopkins, Houston, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Kendall, Lampasas, Lavaca, Lee, Leon, Liberty, Limestone, Madison, Matagorda, McLennan, Medina, Milam, Montgomery, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Panola, Polk, Refugio, Robertson, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Smith, Tarrant, Travis, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Victoria, Walker, Waller, Washington, Webb, Wharton and Williamson are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.

Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
