Notice is hereby given that the Commissioner of Insurance has entered Commissioner´s Order No. 01-0009 dated January 3, 2001. This order pertains to the adoption of Code 0923 Domestic Workers - Residences: Payroll Basis as contained in the Texas Basic Manual of Rules, Classifications and Experience Rating Plan for Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability Insurance (the Manual ). The purposes of these amendments to the Manual were to establish a new classification for residential domestic workers whose workers' compensation premium is based on payroll, to amend Rule XV of the Manual to include the new classification and to make editorial changes to Rule XV of the Manual.
These adopted changes are effective for workers' compensation policies written with an effective date on and after February 3, 2001, which is 15 days after notice of the adoption of these changes appeared in the Texas Register. Questions concerning these changes should be directed to the WC Oversight Group within the Workers' Compensation Division at 512-322-3495.
Copies of the revised Manual pages have been sent to those who have purchased a copy of the Manual from the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and requested to receive the updated pages. Copies of the Manual may be obtained from TDI at a cost of $30 per manual in accordance with the order information sheet attached to this circular or can be downloaded from the TDI WebPage at www.tdi.state.tx.us.
