Re:   Regarding Weather-Related Events Occurring on 124/24/00-12/31/00


In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on December 24, 2000 through December 31, 2000, in the counties of Anderson, Angelina, Bell, Bosque, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Collin, Cooke, Coryell, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Falls, Fannin, Franklin, Freestone, Grayson, Gregg, Hamilton, Harrison, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Houston, Hunt, Jasper, Johnson, Kaufman, Lamar, Lampasas, Leon, Limestone, Marion, McLennan, Montague, Morris, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Newton, Panola, Parker, Polk, Rains, Red River, Rockwall, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Somervell, Tarrant, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Van Zandt, Wise, and Wood are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.

Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
