In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on May 25, 2000 through May 28, 2000, in the counties of Andrews, Archer, Armstrong, Bell, Bexar, Borden, Bosque, Bowie, Brisco, Camp, Carson, Cass, Castro, Clay, Coke, Coleman, Collin, Concho, Cooke, Crosby, Dallas, Dawson, Deaf Smith, Delta, Denton, Ector, El Paso, Ellis, Falls, Fannin, Floyd, Franklin, Gaines, Garza, Glasscock, Grayson, Gregg, Hale, Harrison, Hill, Hockley, Hood, Hopkins, Howard, Hunt, Hutchinson, Irion, Jack, Johnson, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Marion, Martin, McLennan, Midland, Montague, Moore, Morris, Navarro, Oldham, Palo Pinto, Parker, Potter, Randall, Red River, Rockwall, Runnels, Smith, Sterling, Swisher, Tarrant, Terry, Titus, Tom Green, Travis, Upshur, Wichita, Wise, Wood, Young, are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
