Re: Weather -related event occurring on 1/21/1999 and 1/22/1999 declared a catastrophe for claims processing.

In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related event occurring on January 21, 1999 through January 22, 1999, in the counties of Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Lee and Washington, is a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.

Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
