Commissioner's Order 98-0101 amended Commissioner's Order 97-1272 with corrections to the bodily injury liability and uninsured motorists (bodily injury liability and property damage) TAIPA rate changes and the relativities to the corresponding voluntary benchmark rates for private passenger automobile. Accordingly, corrections to the private passenger auto TAIPA rates previously distributed in Commissioner's Bulletin B-0052-97 have also been made. The rates affected by these corrections are the TAIPA rates for bodily injury liability and uninsured motorists (bodily injury liability and property damage). In addition, as a result of the bodily injury liability corrections, the bodily injury class rate ranges for personal injury protection were also corrected. These corrected rates will apply to all private passenger auto TAIPA policies effective on or after April 1, 1998. The August 1, 1996 private passenger auto TAIPA rates will remain in effect for policies with effective dates between March 1, 1998 and March 31, 1998. The effective date for the commercial auto TAIPA rates contained in Commissioner's Bulletin B-0052-97 remains at March 1, 1998, as stated in Commissioner's Order 97-1272.
Please replace the section "Private Passenger Automobile Machine Letter Pages 1, 3, 5, and 6 (3/1/98 Assigned Risk Rates Added)" in Commissioner's Bulletin B-0052-97 with the enclosed section "Private Passenger Automobile Machine Letter Pages 1, 3, 5, and 6 (With 4/1/98 Assigned Risk Rates)". Also, please replace the section "Private Passenger Automobile Rate Bulletin Pages 2-5 and 17-20 (3/1/98 Assigned Risk Rates Added)" in Commissioner's Bulletin B-0052-97 with the enclosed section "Private Passenger Automobile Rate Bulletin Pages 2-5 and 17-20 (With 4/1/98 Assigned Risk Rates)".
