In accordance with the Texas Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on April 10, 1997 through April 11, 1997 in the counties of Lubbock, Lamb, Ector, Midland, Hockley, Terry and Gaines are catastrophes for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
