Re: Weather related events occurring on May 25-26, 1996 in the counties of Randall, Lubbock, and Potter for the purpose of claims processing.

In accordance with the Texas Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on May 25, 1996 and May 26, 1996 are in the counties of Randall, Lubbock and Potter are catastrophes for the purpose of claims processing.

Claims resulting directly from the above defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
