In accordance with the Texas Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on March 24, 1996 and March 25, 1996 in the counties of Dallas, Tarrant, and Collin are catastrophes for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
