Details:
The Texas Department of Insurance proposes new 28 TAC §§5.9800–5.9806, concerning requirements for appraisal. The new sections implement Senate Bill 458, 89th Legislature, 2025, which requires certain insurers writing personal auto or residential property insurance to include an appraisal provision that complies with Insurance Code Chapter 1813.
