Safety training resources for supervisors, safety managers, and safety committee members

Safety at Work, TDI Division of Workers' Compensation

 DWC publications:

Safety leadership, roles, and responsibilities

Supervisors and safety managers set expectations, enforce rules, and decide how safety fits into daily operations. These resources clarify management safety responsibilities and help leaders build strong safety programs.

Safety committees and employee involvement

Effective safety committees give workers a voice, review incidents, and help spot hazards before injuries happen. These materials support forming safety committees, planning meetings, and involving employees in safety decisions.

Accident investigation and reporting

Supervisors and safety staff often lead accident investigations and use the findings to prevent similar incidents. These publications help them investigate accidents and report them correctly.

Inspections and hazard assessments

Regular inspections and hazard assessments help supervisors and safety committees find problems before they cause injuries. These materials support routine workplace inspections, help identify root causes, and turn lessons learned into corrective actions.

Emergency planning and crisis response

Supervisors and safety managers often coordinate emergency plans and guide workers during fires, medical emergencies, severe weather, and other crises. These resources support written emergency action plans, evacuation procedures, and basic first aid readiness.

Stress, fatigue, and supporting workers

Heavy workloads, shift work, and serious incidents can increase stress and fatigue for both workers and supervisors. These publications help leaders recognize stress, talk about mental health, and support a stronger safety culture.
