DWC is accepting presentation proposals for the 2026 Texas Workers’ Compensation Conference, taking place September 1-2 in San Marcos. This year’s conference, “Navigating the Path: From Basics to Mastery,” offers a dual-track format designed to support both newcomers to the field and seasoned professionals looking to deepen their expertise.


DWC Form-005 Annual Filing Period, February 1 through April 30 January 26, 2026
Annual workers' compensation non-subscriber reporting begins February 1
Texas employers that do not provide workers' compensation coverage must file DWC Form-005, Employer Notice of No Coverage or Termination of Coverage, every year between February 1 and April 30. Use DWC's Employer E-File to file, save, and manage your annual non-subscriber notices online, 24 hours a day.


DWC Fraud News November 4, 2025
Trinity Couriers Inc. pays $800,000 in workers’ compensation fraud case
On October 20, 2025, Trinity Couriers Inc. pled guilty to fraudulently obtaining workers’ compensation insurance coverage. The company agreed to pay $800,000 in restitution to their insurance carrier, Texas Mutual Insurance Company.
