Texas resident Firm certificate of registration application guide

For Sprinkler firm applications, use the following example on how to answer questions 9, and 10a.

Answer Example: Name, title, separated by a comma.

Example: John Smith, Officer, Frank Smith, Owner, Joe Smith, Director

  1. Go to the Sircon website and Select “Apply for a License.”
  2. Select “New Insurance License.”
    Select "Resident” and “Firm” for resident state license. Click Continue.
  3. Enter the required information for the “Firm Resident License Application” section.
    • Firm Name
    • EIN (Employer Identification Number, also known as the Federal Employer Identification Number).
      For Sole Proprietors, this cannot be your SSN (Social Security Number).
    • Preparer – select either “Applicant” or “Authorized Submitter.”
  4. In the “States Accepting Electronic License Application” section select “Texas.”
  5. Verify the payment method. Click Continue.
  6. Select the State License Type you are applying for and answer either Yes or No to the “Previously Licensed” question. Click Continue.
  7. Complete the required “Agency Information, Addresses and Phone information.” Click Continue.
  8. Enter the required information for at least one person in the “Owners and Officers” section. Click “Add More Owners and Officers” if you need to include additional people. Click Continue.
  9. You must answer all the “Firm Resident License Application Questions.” You will have an opportunity to attach any required documents to this application after you submit this application. Click Continue.
  10. Read the “Attestation Information for State of Texas” section carefully. Mark the “I Agree” box. Then click Continue.
  11. Before you submit your application, click “Review License Application” to check your information.
  12. Mark the boxes:
    • To verify that you understand that fees are non-refundable.
    • If you want to receive notifications, check the box, and enter Email Address.

    Review the “Additional State Requirements

    Click Submit.

  13. Attach all required documents to your submitted application.
    1. Review the Required Attachments section of the Additional State Requirements document within the application.
    2. Click on Choose File and locate the document you want to attach and click OK.
    3. Include a brief description of the document (example: Certificate of Organization).
    4. Click Attach.

    Repeat the above 3 steps until you have attached all your documents.

  14. Click Submit to send your application for processing.
