TO: ALL ACCIDENT AND HEALTH INSURERS AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN TEXAS
RE: INSURANCE PRODUCTS OFFERED IN TEXAS
The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) is developing a website that will provide consumers information to assist with their search for health insurance. To provide detailed, helpful information, TDI must require carriers to report certain information regarding accident and health products currently being offered in Texas to new customers.
Please submit your survey using TDI´s secure web application. The attached instruction sheet explains how to submit your survey.
The filing is due no later than March 11, 2005. This request is made pursuant to Section 38.001 of the Texas Insurance Code.
If you have any questions regarding the form or its filing, please contact Melissa Hield via e-mail at or call her at 512-322-4349. Thank you for assisting us in providing accurate information to Texas consumers.
Sincerely,
Jose Montemayor
Commissioner of Insurance
