Current opportunity: Operations Coordinator

Internal/External Posting – TDI Employees and General Public

The Insurance Specialist processes open records request, performs quality assurance of Independent Review Organizations (IRO) decision redactions, performs Additional Duty Safety Offices (ADSO) duties, and enters data into various databases.


This position:

  • prepares various types of correspondence, complex documents and reports;
  • performs office annual audit of Performance Measures;
  • maintains files, including legislative and Quality Care audits, and records and supplies;
  • assists with receiving visitors and answering telephones;
  • responds to open records request and prepares documents as needed;
  • provides complex administrative and technical assistance for the office including creating purchasing requisitions, and travel vouchers;
  • prepares calendars for division staff assignments and maintains Directors calendar using Outlook;
  • coordinates and schedules staff meetings, and types meeting minutes;
  • participates in scanning and data entry processes including data entry of inquiries into Sircon;
  • assists with Human Resources related duties, including preparing job postings; and
  • may assist with special projects.

Qualifications

This position requires sixty college hours. Education and experience relevant to position requirements may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.


Additionally, this position requires:

  • one year of experience in office practices, administrative support, or the technical program area.


This position requires demonstrated knowledge of:

  • office practices and administrative procedures;
  • business terminology, spelling, grammar, arithmetic, and
  • Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.

This position requires demonstrated skill in:

  • problem solving, decision making, and planning;
  • the use of electronic data and word processing equipment and software; and
  • scheduling and maintaining Outlook calendar.

This position requires the demonstrated ability to:

  • apply critical thinking to evaluate, analyze and interpret information;
  • communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees and the general public;
  • discern matters of a confidential nature;
  • organize and prioritize workload;
  • implement administrative procedures and evaluate their effectiveness;
  • work independently on administrative and technical assignments; and
  • manage and coordinate multiple tasks in order to meet necessary deadlines.
