The Title Exams Audit Coordinator performs complex administrative program work and technical program assistance for the Title Examinations Office.

This position:

  • evaluates compliance audit workpapers for completeness and accuracy;
  • reviews annual escrow audit reports for completeness and accuracy;
  • plans and initiates audit assignments and auditor schedules;
  • answers emails and phone calls from staff, industry personnel, and others;
  • develops and maintains TeamMate projects and Sircon projects for assigned audits;
  • reviews bank confirmations and correspondence from title agents;
  • prepares referral memos when administrative action is needed;
  • assists the manager in developing and implementing program guidelines, policies, procedures, rules, goals, and strategies; and
  • assists with special projects.


Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, insurance, or business administration.  Education and experience relevant to position may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis. 


Additionally, this position requires:

  • five years of experience in an accounting or auditing position.

This position requires demonstrated knowledge of:

  • advanced auditing and accounting techniques; and
  • title insurance regulations.

This position requires demonstrated skill in:

  • problem solving, decision making, and planning;
  • effectively managing resources; and
  • using personal computers and Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

This position requires the demonstrated ability to:

  • handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage conflicting priorities in order to meet deadlines;
  • communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees and the general public;
  • understand and carry out complex instructions;
  • prepare and maintain complex records and files;
  • make decisions in accordance with rules, regulations, and procedures;
  • apply critical thinking to analyze and solve work problems;
  • work harmoniously with fellow employees in an effective, results oriented, productive team environment; and
  • establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the agency and external customers.
