Premium Finance Companies

New Process for renewing your license

  • New license number – each Premium Finance licensee will be assigned a new license number. TDI will furnish you with an updated license with the new number. The new number will be used for the upcoming renewal transaction. Review the new license and confirm everything is correct. If not, let us know by email to
  • Banks will have a new license type – Licenses currently held by Banks will converted to “Premium Finance Banks” to better facilitate the differences in the requirements for licensure.
  • Target date tentatively scheduled for October 14, 2022 – renewals for 2023 will be available immediately. We are working hard to make this transition as smooth as possible but sometimes the unforeseen happens. If so, we will update you immediately.
  • Watch for updates – we will provide detailed instructions and tutorials. If you currently hold a Texas agent or firm license, you should find many similarities in the process.
