Specialty: portable electronic vendor

A portable electronic vendor insurance license can be issued to a person or entity that leases, sells, or provides portable electronic devices or related services to customers. Portable electronic devices can include:

  • Cell or satellite phones
  • Pagers
  • Personal global positioning satellite units
  • Portable computers
  • Portable audio listening
  • Video viewing or recording devices
  • Digital cameras
  • Video camcorders
  • Portable gaming systems
  • Docking stations
  • Automatic answering devices
  • Other similar devices and accessories

Apply for a license

Training

  • You must complete training programs given by the insurance agency and the insurance company.
  • A person with this license can train employees who will offer portable electronic insurance to customers.

Fingerprint background check

A fingerprint background check is not needed for a specialty portable electronic vendor insurance license.

Application: agent or agency

Temporary license

A temporary license is not offered for a specialty portable electronic vendor insurance license.

Emergency license

An emergency license is not offered for a specialty portable electronic vendor insurance license.

Provisional permit

A provisional permit is not offered for a specialty portable electronic vendor insurance license.
